Greetings fellow Vashonites and Welcome to the VITAL for Vashon blog!
VITAL is an acronym that stands for Vashon Island Tourism Awareness Leaders, and we are a group comprised of local business owners and island residents who have come together for the sake of improving commerce on Vashon through off-island (tourism) and on-island efforts. The VITAL group is currently in the process of researching a plethora of different ideas, options and resources, to develop a plan for efforts that would launch early in the New Year, during the economically slowest time of year.
The VITAL group is also working with on-island business owners, residents and professionals to inform, educate and gather thoughts so to be as open, transparent and communicative with the island as possible. This VITAL for Vashon blog is just one outlet for our messaging efforts.
This blog will regularly be updated with progress reports, links to information, surveys for you to take, and general comments and articles from a variety of islanders. It’s meant to be the primary channel of VITAL communication for the time being, so please, pass this along.

We are also conducting a short survey right now.
