Tracking, measuring and reporting... some of the most important things you can do for your business and for your business community.
Because the VITAL initiative is spearheaded by the Vashon/Maury Island Chamber of Commerce, we're posting an email recently sent out to all Chamber members regarding the need to track, measure and report Vashon business data. The message requests Chamber members, as well as non-Chamber members to take a very important business survey. Please read the message below and participate in the survey(s) applicable to your business(es). The survey responses are due by Friday October 16th and should only take about a 1/2 hour to complete. Thank you!
Good Morning Vashon Businesses,
It is crucial for any business to be able to track, measure and report their profits, expenses and customer information for forecasting and planning purposes. As your Chamber of Commerce, we also need some of this information from Vashon businesses so that we may better forecast and plan for the island as a whole. To date, any attempts to collect business data for the island have been somewhat informal. There is a lot of anecdotal data out there about Vashon’s economy, but little or no factual data available to the Chamber. Therefore, many decisions for the island are based on this speculation. We finally have some steps in place to collect factual data. Without your support in this process we can only continue to speculate.
Please help us do a better job for you by clicking here and completing the survey for your type of business. This link is also available on the home page at www.vashonchamber.com. Surveys may be completed anonymously and we encourage all island businesses, whether members of the Chamber or not, to complete the surveys.
We thank you for taking this important step in strengthening Vashon businesses,
Linda Bianchi
Vashon Maury Island Chamber of Commerce President
